Eric,

Happy to help! Facebook doesn't generate direct leads unless you have some sort of "free" offer-- and even then the lead quality is low. More importantly, Facebook is a strong branding tool, which will increase the organic visits you get, as well as the CTR on your regular PPC. The reason why is that while people are on Facebook, they're not thinking about cosmetic surgery, repairing their car, getting a haircut, or whatever--- but when the time comes, they will be more familiar with you (having seen your ad) and will choose you over competitors when they do a search.

Let me know if you'd like some help with your uncle. We want to help the local advertising market grow and drive more phone calls for everyone.

dennis,

great information & I appreciate your insight. I saw on AdHustler's blog you did some Fbook advertising for this surgeon as well.

Did you generate any leads that way?
What type of landing page did you use?
I saw the buy one get one free laser treatment... good incentive?

My uncle in a surgeon in Cleveland, was going to maybe try to help him.

Hey Dennis,

Thanks for posting this article. I work with a plastic surgeon in Baltimore and realized the affect spammers are having nor the benefit of social media with this client.

I look forward to continuing to read your blog.

Cheers!
