A lot of people on the "business side" tend to downplay the importance of having a tech guy involved in building the company. But in the tech industry having a talented engineer on your side is vital to achieve anything. Also having to run on a shoestring budget actually helps the business to get its model right from the start (and focus on gaining customers rather than VC) This is spot on.
